Following a highly successful career working as an agent with Co-Operative Insurance, Nic set out on his own in 2003 and has developed CSPW with his brother ever since. Nic continues to expand the business by developing his close relationships with all clients and utilising his wealth of experience to improve the situation of everyone he has the chance to work with. Nic is also dedicated to the development of his staff and others with whom he is associated, dedicated much of his time to mentoring fledgling advisors and planners.
Outside work, Nic is a keen motor sports enthusiast and he regularly competes in karting races and events. This passion has been fuelled by his lifelong love for cars, in particular his childhood obsession with Porsches. Nic enjoys spending time with his family, particularly playing in the garden with his children, cycling and during the winter months, skiing. Nic is a member of the Christian Fellowship and a keen property developer. To date, he has renovated two family homes and the third is ’on the drawing board’.

George has over 13 years of experience in the financial planning industry and was recently shortlisted for Best Of Breed Wealth Manager by Spear›s Magazine. He deals with many high net worth clients and is a member of the Institute of Financial Services, working towards becoming a Chartered Financial Planner. He is also a member of the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce.
Outside work, George has an interest in a number of outdoor pursuits, including gig rowing with Rock Rowing Club and a lifelong passion for winter sports. He also enjoys spending time with his young family exploring Cornwall.
Life Planner and Coach
Rob has had a career spanning over 20 years in helping individuals achieve their financial goals and aspirations. Alongside this passion, he is a Certified Coach with Halftime, guiding individuals on how to develop a compelling life purpose for when they sell their business or retire from their chosen profession and have reached a point of asking 'What's next?' Rob is actively involved in the life of his church and is a family man who intentionally invests time to be with his wonderful wife and young children. When the opportunity allows, he enjoys playing drums, watching motorsport, photography, music, running, cycling, working out and spending time with friends over good food and a glass of wine!
Pauline has over thirty years of financial services experience having spent much of that time working in the insurance industry before joining Carlton Smith private Wealth in 2007. Pauline spends her time outside the office serving her community. She has recently retired from her local Parish Council where she served 5 years and has now devoted her time to supporting local charities. When not working within the community, she is actively involved in teaching arts and crafts and enjoys singing along to live music as diverse as Guns ’n’ Roses and Westlife.
Senior Marketing Manager
Gareth has spent many years in the marketing industry. He has worked in Marketing in some form since leaving university but it was upon joining Carlton Smith Private Wealth that he was able to bring his experience to Financial Services. Gareth excels in communicating our unique proposition to our clients and developing both individual and counterparty relationships.
Outside work, Gareth has a real passion for food and likes to spend much of his time being creative behind the stove.
Michelle enjoys spending time with her family but during the summer months can be found weeding the borders of the garden. When the weather is not so favourable, Michelle loves to paint with water colours.
Troy is local to our office in Suffolk. Joining Carlton Smith Private Wealth on their apprenticeship programme as Office Administrator in 2013. He has rapidly progressed to become a Paraplanner and takes a keen interest in the development of the operations within the office. He is currently studying for his Certificate in Financial Planning, which he hopes to finish within the year.
Outside of work Troy is a keen rider & modifier of motorbikes, often spending his weekend exploring the Suffolk countryside.
Philip graduated from Southampton in 2009 and from Exeter in 2011. He joined Carlton Smith in 2016 with a background in stockbroking & investment management and holds the Investment Advice Diploma through the CISI. He is currently working towards his Masters in Wealth Management and Certificate in Financial Planning.
Outside of work, Philip enjoys spending much of his time seeing movies, mountain biking, writing, drawing and cooking.
Jenny is a local to our office in Suffolk. She studied Psychology with Criminology in Hull, and after graduating, spent a year travelling and working in New Zealand. She joined Carlton Smith Private Wealth in June 2015 as our senior administrator.
Outside of work, Jenny enjoys spending time with friends, getting involved with her local church, and walking in the Suffolk countryside with her husband.
